Government change to imperial
Is it possible to change government to imperial (so that the ribbon around my portrait turns purple)? Including the imperial elective succession law and all the features of imperial govertnemt?

regularly its ristricted to byzantium and the restored roman empire, no idea if either exploits or mods make it possible for other realms.

One of the requirements is to have Roman or byzantine empire as your primary title. The other is to have imperial elective succession on it.

Unless you are willing to use mods

No, I don't really like mods, besides those completely changing the campaign, like GoT and LotR mods. It's not such a huge issue, I just thought it might be nice to change to this type of government.

An alternative could be to switch to Chinese imperial government. (light green ribbons, with a light green government icon with a pergamen)

How can that be done?

"Adopt Chinese Imperialism"- Decision (scroll down a bit in the link)

But that is a completely different government form from "Imperial" (wich means the byzantine/roman one)

But keep in mind that it might not be the thing youre looking for, Chinese imperial disables elective forms of successions. Makes most culture conversion decisions unavailable

But republics do not have wrong government opinion Malus towards you and you can hold cities without penalty.
