How do you create items as a magus?

Is it a random event or something cause i cant find it anywhere.

If you mean writing a magnum opus, just right-click yourself after you reach rank 4. The other stuff is through the random events every two years (right before getting your society mission). It requires that you be at least rank 3 and have built a laboratory.

Yus. I had a ruler at magus for like 20 years and never got a single item event so i wondered if i was missing something and yes i was max rank and the leader and i went all out on a lab.

After taking a look at the events, creating items only need rank 2. However, you still need a lab, you can't be at war, you can't be busy doing something else (seclusion, feasting, etc), and you need to have 4 other hermetic members with 15+ opinion of you (and vice versa).

Given all of that, there's still only 12.5% chance it'll fire every 2 years because it needs to compete with the other random events: gaining society friend, gaining society rival, divine summoning, warding off evil, and the default no event.
