Conclave Child Education is stupid and broken!
I HATE CONCLAVES EDUCATION SYSTEM!
The only reason I even have conclave active is because the extra 4th Option for Councilors and I guess the female gender laws....

BUT I CAN'T STAND THE CHILD EDUCATION/GUARDIAN SYSTEM!

It makes no sense or is completely broken!

Recently I had my heir son who was a Genius.
I even got him 6 extra intellect and 4 extra stewart thanks to the benedctine order events.

I chose for him first the Child Focus:Thrift.
His Guardian was "me" My character has the Martial Education. and all good traits basicly.

He ended his childhood phase with
Fussy
Willful
Rowdy

I didnt get a single childhood event to help steer him...which If I read correctly I should have got atleast one....

But fine, I wanted him to have a Martial Education anyhow so Willful and Rowdy help.....

His Guardian again, ME!
Has Brave, Ambitious, Honest, and Robust....

at age 15 I got the pop up to give him ambitious, patient, or diligent.
Since his willful was still undecided I chose diligent.

I didnt get a pop up until AFTER he turned 16....His Martial Education came out to tier 3 ( Skilled Tactician ) but he got DULL AND STUBBURN for Willful and Rowdy.....
ON TOP OF THAT THE POPUP FOR HIS TEENAGE LEARNING EVENT POP'D AFTER HE WAS ALREADY 16 like right after, It let me stear him away from DULL but it didnt do anything, He just kept the dull trait.... (yes I know its not 100% but im sure it didnt help that the trait was already decided since he was 16 already! )

This education system is completely bull !
I had both "good" traits for Willful and Rowdy and both willful and rowdy were Good traits for Martial!

there is little to no reason why my son now has 2 garbage traits Dull and Stub....

The Original Games education was better then this garbage, atleast it had "cute" parental events like your child being afraid of a thunderstorm and having you go out into it to show him everything is ok....only to be struck dead by lightning becaue Thor hates you....

Seriously though **** this Conclave Education System!
ITS COMPLETE GARBAGE!!!
I hope to the gods that the new last DLC changes the Education system......

OP - just had a quick look at the childhood traits vs the ones the guardian had:

Fussy - intervention trait is Diligent, event did not fire as you had already forced Diligent via the "2 or more skills at 12+" intervention.
Willful - The needed trait is proud which the guardian did not have so no event.
Rowdy - you had Brave, event fired as intended, unlucky result (50/50 IIRC)

As to why the last event did not fire till after education was completed I got nothing.

That's always how it is. I guess this should actually be reported as a bug...

Characters get their education assigned to them as soon as they turn 16. This part seems to have priority over the educator intervention event which means the education is assigned before the educator can intervene.

Sometimes, I've had a childhood trait turn into two adult traits. For example, a child turns 16 with the fussy trait. He becomes paranoid, but then I get the intervention event and he becomes diligent while staying paranoid.

Interesting. I suspected this had happened to me at some point too but wasn't sure. I also would certainly consider that a bug, hard to see how that is working as intended ...

The wiki has a very extensive guide for Conclave education. I follow it and get brilliant results 90% of the time. Especially with brave guardians stopping kids from becoming dull. Same with gregarious gaurdians stopping indolent kids form becomeing slothfull//gluttonous. Or cynical guardians with 12+ intrigue helping curious kids become shrewd.

Becuase kids always end up like their fathers? Genius people breed ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ & dim wits can mother genius. Eugenics & upbringing will only hold you back or raise you up so much in both ck2 and IRL..

On the other hand.....you can potentially go from a slobbering moron to Shrewd or even quick/genius (if close relative has it).

It's a double edged sword that can cut both ways.

if you don't want it to happen don't let strangers educate your genius kids.
