Wait for a sale and buy the ones you want.
Also the game has a lot of replay value, no game is going to be the same as another, you can easily get over 1000 hours in, so even if you pay for all the dlc at full price that's a better price to gametime value than most games.
Only buy few main Dlc's and make sure to buy it during a 50% sale or more.
Right now the OP with all iq = 27, that is 5x of most old A12yr old Steam forum users. And in few years when new OP come, the IQ will be = 60? Just do something with this insane in the membrane (insane in the brain).
YES CK2 is expansive when not on sales, but you don't need the whole thing to play and you still can buy the expansions one by one, and enjoy it slowly as CK2 is a masterpiece.
Serriosly thouhg it goes on sale all the time, every major steam sale its on sale, as well as any time they make a new DLC every thing but like the two newest DLC goes on a sale. And Humble Bundle among others has huge charity sales for it. I started off with the base set years ago, up to Old Gods DLC I think it was almost all of it back then for like 15 bucks off humble bundle, seen them do bundles like that here and there as well 15-20 bucks for normal priced like 90+ bucks of content for this franchise.
Really has it been that much? I buy them all at full price, DAY 1 even if I might have to get off another game I'm into, I come back and play the HECK out of ck2.
I don't think its for you to be honest, just grab the base game for god sakes it got all us hooked, I literally went back to CK1 just to see what the hell I was experiencing, eventually the game was released and I bought it - but if you don't know why its worth that much, its not probably worth that much.
If you think about it straight, whole game costs less than WoW with subscribe for one year, and it's nearly always on sale.
