Constant money "cha ching" sound?

As the title says, there is a constant cha ching going every few seconds. I reloaded my game and it's still there :x

sounds like sound drivers to me getting stuck on a wave file. Might need to reinstall your sound drivers and or replace your sound card.

had the same issue while playing a republic - not a bug though, the sound seems to be linked to a particular kind of income.

i used this fix from reddit - it worked for me and didn't stop me from getting achievements:

Head to Crusader Kings II\sound and rename the relevant file, for instance by adding ".bak" to the end. You'll get a warning if you're sure, and just hit yes.

The files you're looking for are:

money_in.wav , change it to (for instance) : money_in.wav.bak

money_out.wav , change it to (for instance) : money_out.wav.bak

Check if you have a trade post (provinces on the silk road automatically build them). Every month you'll hear a cha-ching sound.

Rebublics also hear that.

It also plays whenever your steward/regent is stealing funds from the treasury, but the chance of that happening is lower and won't be happening every month, where as trade posts will always do it.
