neither the one nor the other way, the question is that I started with tribal government, I created a mercantile republic and then I became vassal of the king of Denmark, so it happened several years and at no time I could create a claim to the title of kingdom of Denmark, the problem is that I am a mercantile republic and the king of Denmark is feudal, basically I can not usurp a feudal title if I am a mercantile republic, that is the problem.
I decided to enter the kingdom of Denmark because I was interested in the Nordic culture, and although I had 200 years educating all the children with Nordic tutors, I had not managed to convert anyone to the Nordic culture.
However, the problem is not having entered the kingdom of Denmark, the problem is whether it is from inside or outside, I can not claim the title because it is a feudal king.
Otherwise, there is nothing you can do but attack the holder until he/she doesn't have any more land so the title will automatically get destroyed. Maybe the AI will do that for you ;)
The worst of the case is that when I entered the kingdom of Denmark, I set free 2 duchies to the mayors of Ireland to create another 2 mercantile republics, the idea was to allow these republics to develop and then take away the trade post, but unknown moptivos , the Doge of Ireland obtained the kingdom of Denmark and the republic disappeared.
Yeah, I assume you're using conclave DLC and then you gotta manually go for that. If you go without it then just assigning the right guardian does the trick.
Anyway, I would be in the same situation, the point is to obtain the title of the Kingdom of Denmark, which for me would be the principality of Denmark, since I am a mercantile republic, if I had entered before or not in that kingdom is completely irrelevant, since that the title would continue to have a feudal or tribal regent.
The game tells you if the child may adopt another culture or faith when assigning a guardian. Generally, landless courtiers who have a different culture or religion than you will not influence the culture or religion of the children they tutor.
That only works with the Conclave DLC...
