To say more I'd need more info on your actual game.
But either you don't have any eligible heirs for all the titles (or they have different heirs), or or have some form of gavelkind and multiple eligible heirs (which will split up some of your realm).
look , i was playing as king kurik or slavic vikings, i got this annoying notification of title loss. i have 4 successors with elective kavelking. i tried to give my oldest son all of my lands but i couldn't because the option of giving land disappeared and replaced by "revoke title" .
i tried to give another son other land but it gave him independent states instead !!!! why this happen?
look up some guides on youtube
You can only have vassals of a lower teir.
you most likely have too many same teir titles, which will get split among your children.
Gavelkind also prevents you from giving a ton of land to your primary heir since that defeats the point of gavelkind. You can give some land to your 2ndry heirs, if you rather handle the distribution yourself instead of letting the succession council decide.
Elective Gavelkind is slightly worse than normal gavelkind in that it also gives the children a chance to declare independance on succession during certain circumstances and will auto-create available titles if the heir gets enough territory. (though you can also pick a different heir if you eldest is a moron or just really bad, so it's a bit of a trade off. You get the heir you want more easily but the succession is slightly more chaotic than under normal gavelkind).
Generally, with tribals, it's better go no further than 1 Kingdom until you reform and Feudalise, as this makes Gavelkind much more controllable.
You can add more territory once you can switch to something a bit more modern like Senority, until you've got the tech/laws for more advanced stuff).
yes , now playing jerusalem and changed it to the eldest son inheritance. cuz i don't wanna wait for oldest son option to be availabe cuz i dont wanna lose terroritories.

You have elective gavelkind, your lands get split between your sons so when you die and play as your heir you only get a few titles and your brothers will get the others. You get claims on your brothers lands so you can revoke their titles freely if they're under you and if they are independant you can war them for the titles.
You son became independant because you gave them a title of the same tier as your highest, I assume you've still got the duke level title (petty king), and you gave out another duke level title, you'll want to form a kingdom before you give out duke level titles.
It can be tough coming from EU4 or a.n.other strategy game, but at some point you'll realise that not having all the titles is a part of the game, not something to be constantly fighting with.
2: Kill wife
There, solved!
i had to prison and kill my youngest 2 sons so all my precious titles go the heir ;((
am not proud of it tho
