what is child-bearing age?

Exactly what the title says. I need this for a ritual, but I can't find anyone that gives me the option. Even a 23 year old woman is apparently not giving me the option.

16 is the age what the game says you can conceive a child.

for diplomacy, it's between 16 and 35 i think (when you try to marry off women beyond 35 they get the "beyond childbearing age" negative modifier). in practice, it's actually 45. women beyond 45 can't have kids in the game, but it happens quite often that a woman at 43 or something becomes pregnant one last time.

16 is the minimum age to bear children. At age 34, a few rulers will refuse marriage requests for a woman because of "beyond childbearing age". By age 36, most will refuse to marry her. By age 40, only someone with more than enough kids will accept her marriage request. Usually, fertility sharply declines starting at age 40 - a woman falling pregnant more than once beyond age 40 is extremely rare. Age 45 is the hard limit past which she really can't conceive a child anymore (still, the child may come out after her 46th birthday).

Your 23 year old woman might get the "unlikely to have children" problem when arranging marriages due to:
* Celibacy
* Great pox
* Leprosy
* Infirm
* Incapable

Funny thing my first play through I passed away and when my son took rule he took one of his fothers concubines as his own and she was only 43, figure why not as she still had want a daughter traight as she only had step sisters with my father...Sure enough she popped out three sons for me before she crocked. Which was good cause I had all daughters....lol

Im running two fun mods that realate to this topic, first allows me to actualy visit my wifes bedchambers, and the second reduces the age of adulthood to 14 so you can get married, run a realm and have kids at 14. There good realism mods.

Since you mention a ritual, I assume you're a devl worshipper and you received a mission for unholy impregnation. You can only use the power on a fellow society member.

yeah. I figured it out through trial and error. It apparently wasn't age that was the issue, but that the cult member HAD to be in MY court in order for the action to take place.
