The Carolingian Renaissance
Hi everybody, i am playing as a duke of the French empire in the 873 AD and when i use right click on my character there is an option that say: "host the Carolingian Renaissance" or something like that (i have my game on spanish, so i don't know what it says exactly in english), so i did look for information on google but i don't see nothing about this, so could somebody explay to me what it mean and what it do?

It should convert your duke's culture (who is presumably Frankish) to French; it may affect his heirs, as well.

I guess it's a relatively quick and simple way to get the jousting field and quickly possess heavy cavalry.

I am not sure about the final culture that I will assume, and I wanted to ask something, for practical purposes, is there any difference between German and French culture? because both can build jousting fields, but is there anything else I should consider?

nothing major. german is in the central germanic culture group together with frankish and lombard.

french and italian, occitan and norman are in the latin culture group. so if you plan to also rule over italy, i guess you'd get a slightly smaller foreigner penalty from the local lords as a french (since italian is same culture group).

other than that, it's just fluff. german has 2 cultural name changes. king tier merchant republics are called "merchant league" rather than "serene republic" and feudal emperors are called Kaiser/ Kaiserin rather than Emperor/Empress
