Constantly losing Duels?
I am consistently losing duels despite having a larger personal combat score, at one point I even had 43 to their 22 and still lost. I get that this doesn't guarantee a victory but I'm constantly losing every duel. Does anyone know or can advise what to do with duels, whether there is a trick I am missing, please?

If you have high intrigue you can cheat. You can get a weapon from a smith that helps with dueling. Some bloodlines have + to dueling ability. Other than that I guess you're just extremely unlucky.

Sounds a bit like confirmation bias.

43 and 22 isn't very high personal combat numbers tbh. Luck will be a big factor there.

If you found a warrior lodge bloodline + Duelist bloodline + Sea King/Queen bloodline, most of your kids will start out with higher than 43 personal combat skill.

If you want pretty much a guarantee you'll need to get up in 200+ vs 22 or so.

I had 72 PCS and still lost to an old woman with 9..this game man!!

Admod, cheers for the advice. I have a "+2" axe but can keep crafting new stuff i guess to boost my chances.

Well... even if you have 72 PCS, a man with 9 PCS still has a 20% chance to win.

you should be able to change duel outcome % option on starting a game. i don't like the normal duel outcome so i always set it to low or very low. you still lose sometimes to a lower dueler skill but thats the fun. plus vs someone way stronger makes the decision of running or not accepting allot more important, you can still win but don't think your gettiing out unharmed.

I agree, the fun comes from the risk and reward so I don't generally complain about losing duels I'm favourite to win, but in the game I had last night I was consistently losing!!! I'll definitely tinker with the duel outcome % setting, thank you!

Thank you, I'll have to look up how to found bloodlines, that's a Holy Fury thing I'm assuming and I haven't had that expansion for long. Can't believe how significant the difference in PCS has to be for one character to near-guarantee beat the other!

dualing is broken, period. RNG is broken, period. Lost 12 fights, all fights, win nothing. Bad luck? dont think so. RNG is broken, period.

and the way they present the fight is a utter joke.....

43/22, you'll on average lose 1/4 duels. Factor in events and then its even closer People are bad at maths, duels are fine, combat score is not a given right to win a duel which in real life were hit or miss.

Entitled couch potatoes have been watching too much tv, where the protagonist always wins a fight.
