Child of Destiny.
I got the Child of Destiny event for my youngest son.
What can I expect from it?
Should I try to die asap and get him on the throne or wait some time?

Btw. Is it coincedence that one of my other sons is wounded/stressed and another got sick within a year since the child has born.

He will have amazing stats and can use invasions casus Belli, although his descandants will get a bloodline.
If he has not atleast a king title he will leave you to conquer a kingdom for himself and usually the ai will Switch culture and religion to that of the region, rules like a tyrant and produce lots of bastards.

I just need to finish my Magnus Opus, change to ultimogeniture and kill myself so I can play the kid from age 3. He already strangled a poison snake in his crib.
Already have Empire of Bengal and most of the rest of India.

I have never played a child of destiny myself, but I've looked in the game files, so I know that playing the child yourself will give you greater choice over how he develops, i.e. what he gets his insane bonus modifiers in. I'd advise taking over the character as soon as feasible. :)

I managed to get him to power at age 3.
Could have been a year earlier but the previous ruler had only one rival to duel for suicide but that one refused to duel.

Cool, please keep us updated on what events you get and what you choose! :) I've never actually seen someone report on playing through a child of destiny's childhood, so that'd be really cool. :)

I'm already keeping track of the events.

0901823 Born.
1511823 Strangled a snake. Intrigue +2, plot power defence +30.0%
2002826 Child of mithridates. (drank poison) Martial +2, Health +1.0, Plot power defence +10.0%
0505826 Became Emperor.

Unfortunately it looks like I won't get the Child of Destiny bloodline. I already have an ambition bloodline.

Edit: Well, I actually did get the bloodline. 5 months after becoming Emperor,

Finished the childhood years.
Every 12-24 months you get two choices when you are in control.
With the choices I made i got +6 in all stats except Learning. That was +10.
I also got some good traits :brawny, patient, just, temperate and brave.
Besides that there are also some other things like a total of +3 health, +50 opinion, +60 combat bonus, +50 plot power defence.

My stats without artifacts.
Diplomacy 23
Martial 40
Stewardship 29
Intrigue 26
Learning 25
I must add that I am also genius.

This is gonna be a very interesting rulership period.

This is with a few artifacts equipped.

I personally love playing as the CoD, (i have a created character that automatically starts as a CoD on game start that i like to play as every now and then) and they are beyond OP.

Once you get your bloodline, you can use invasion CB any time you want as many times as you want.

If you get stressed or depressed, an event fires shortly after automatically removing them.

If you get imprisoned, again an event fires shortly after, which makes you escape prison(assuming you dont get executed instantly)

You get 2 constant events over and over with one allowing you to choose between 3 possible friends and the other asking if you want to take a random girl as your lover.

There are also nine events total that can fire during your childhood that gives you a choice of 2 insanely good modifiers and if you get all 9 to trigger before you become an adult, Yikes!

Some of my Favorite modifiers to get from the event chain are..
Charismatic ruler: 10% National Tax. +5 general opinion, +4 diplomacy
Motivated ruler: 20% National Tax, +6 stewardship, +2 learning, +10 vassal opinion.

And lastly to give an idea of just how truly powerful it is, here is a screenshot of my current CoD game starting in Dec 26/1066 as a 0 year old, unreformed Hellenic Pagan, Count of Napoli.
A mere 22 years after game start

My army is that large cuz i have 19k event troops that i gained by swearing fealty to Robert the Fox right after he formed Sicily so that i could get the free claim on that Kingdom to then get my invasion bloodline.(and getting the free claim also gave me all those event troops(which ARE reinforcible btw with a 0.25 attrition rate which again makes the CoD even more OP))

After taking over Sicily and getting my bloodline, i immediately used invasion against Byz for the De Jure lands of Greece and being sure to occupy ALL of the duchies of Adrianopolis, Thrace, Abydos and Opsikion before enforcing demands to add all those duchies to my lands as well.
