Google it, there's pretty good explanations...

It's not easy and I think you only get one shot so if you passed it it's gone.

There is multiple ways to "fail" on the road to immortality.

The mystic can be a fake.
Your choices were wrong/unsuccessful and you failed with negative result.
Your choices were wrong/failed but resulted in a minor success (your result)
You chose right and succeeded and were granted immortality.

You failed but managed to nab a minor life extension. These can be the transference of your 'soul' into that of an already existing heir(like you did) or a new heir at age 0 that keeps your traits and essentially get a full new life to improve in.

what happen in your case is your soul possessed the body of another character, in some cases it is a child that was born the night you die in others you just take up the form of your heir. both of which is a fail for immortality but you atleast get a second chance and a minor life extension.

Yeah, that's a "reincarnation" option that is available for Diplomacy and Learning paths I think?
Kiethoo May 25, 2019 @ 5:48am
I didn't know you could posses your heir. Never had that happen.
Dennis VJ May 25, 2019 @ 9:50am
Jirki88 i think is one event who come to you from you cancelor in time when you are playng,i think this it was for me.
i put some photos here guys, the mystic child is not fake.

https://ibb.co/4Kf47Zr (this is the photo with my rencarnation at age 16 without immortal trait)
so what rly is happening here ? i should to take the imortal trait or no ? is this child just an impostor ? i dont think so bcs if it was it should to die or i go possesed ,lunatic ......

Jirki88 May 25, 2019 @ 10:14am
No, if you get the reincarnation end of it, you don't get Immortal trait.
Dennis VJ May 25, 2019 @ 10:28am
And what i need to do ? this is another photo with my rencarnation at age 16 https://ibb.co/NTbF4pZ when i continue with my heir and him is my half brother.

here said " The actual quest
As the event chain goes on, the character will encounter three events. Each event has a chance to fail, which will increase if the mystic is a fraud (see above for detail). The chance of success increases if character's chosen attribute is high (the thresholds are 13, 16, 19 and 22). Failure in an event means the end of the quest, and may result in some negative traits or even death.

In each step, the character must decide to do something (or quit), and usually spend money to have a better chance of success.

If the character's chosen attribute is martial or learning, then, in the third step, following the mystic's instructions has a chance of "succeeding" via reincarnation, which means the character will die and a child with identical race, culture, religion and some of the same traits will born as the character's child.

With this reincarnation result, the immortality event chain is concluded. You carry on playing as normal. If immortality comes up in the game again, it will be the event starting again from the very beginning. You got a "bad" result - the chances of actually getting the immortality trait are very low.

Ok,so dosent work on me,i just think maybe the mystic it was a fraud but i check it with charinfo and is mystic. So maybe in the next event ?

If they were a real mystic it still isn't guaranteed. Your own characters skills play a part.

You've got the reincarnation event, so that character and probably the char you reincarnated as are absolutely not going to become immortal.
Dennis VJ May 25, 2019 @ 1:26pm
But why ?before the last ritual she said clearly i will become immortal if the ritual will be a succes. https://ibb.co/mBRmCQ9

But it wasn't a success.
Dennis VJ May 25, 2019 @ 1:32pm
What was wrong in this ritual ? my point stats ? mystic was fraud ?
edit: i tryed it with another mystic character who was with good stats in martial(like my character),and result was same like with the girl.... they just give me another body via rencarnation.
