Crusader Kings but Crusade do not start.

What is wrong with this game? I tryed 3 times and they simply do not start. Jerusalem was not under chirstian's control neither egpyt and so on. That's simply embarassing.

I spent something like 9 hours for nothing, I hate this game. First time ok maybe I took too many muslims land with holy wars, second time simply nothing I just got the Kingdom of Sicily with Hauteville, third time I've played with Eustache of Boulogne and nothing started.
There is an achievement where you take Jerusalem with him and the crusades do not start is ridiculous. I did it in the past but now nothing work what the hell is happening, I need help.

What start date?
Crusades don't start before the 11 century. If you start in Charlemagne or the old gods, crusades might start in different times or not even happen. If you started the 1066 start date, Crusades will happen within 30 years.

I know how crusades work dude, I've 330 hours and defender of holy sepulchre but now they don't work. They doesn't start anymore and i don't know the reason, I just want to play as King or Jerusalem and forge the Crusader King bloodline. It's not about moral authority cause I've checked multiple times. I don't know what's going on but im sick, it's so annoying. Yeah I started in 1066 it's not about the bookmark

...thats why i mentioned 2 points. Its most likely the 2nd one but you never know, therefore i mentioned both.

The pope -might- start crusades pretty often but if the catholic side is significantly weaker than the enemy side he will just abandon the crusade.

So if catholics are especially weak or muslims strong it can probably happen that you wont get a single crusade.

Yeah but it's 1110 and nobody can significantly kill one of them it's non sense. Just my problem as I see

I've found that if the counties of Jerusalem are too chopped up - i.e. too many independent rulers have a share, and no one really controls the area - the Pope doesn't know who to target first, and then just doesn't.

That's not quite correct, as I've had several 867 starts as the Umayyads and as soon as you get a good chunk of Aquitaine, the Pope will call in the banners, so to speak.

Thanks for the replies, first of all the problem is the pope. He simply doesn't call the crusade for any target not just Jerusalem. Jerusalem was under the Muslims' control. I waited as I said until 1100 or 1105 and I saw nothing. My question is simply WHY? I don't get it. Someone said maybe Chirstians are too weak but it's not my case in any of my games. On the first game I saw something like 2 Jihad but not a single crusade, it's so weird. I think my ck2 is drunk lol
Can I ask a crusade? If the answer is yes what I need to do? What is required. I know I could take Jerusalem with holy wars but I want do it with a crusade because I want to play as the beneficiary and the bloodline "crusader king" which it's not possible if I just pass the land to my son and give him the indipendence. Waiting for some support, thanks you!

Hi everybody as I said in another thread Im having issues with firing crusade so my answer is can I create the empire of outremere conquering Jerusalem with holy wars and using it as my first title?
I'll unlock the special option to create the empire or I need to own Jerusalem through a crusade and nothing more

There's a MTTH of 10 years for the crusades to happen. I'd suggest to keep playing, maybe you're just having bad luck with it.

Strangely enough, I had a crusade for egypt trigger in the 10th century. I was actually surprised and perplexed by this! No mods, either.
