Hagia Sophia bug

Playing a Francia-Rome game, and just did an invasion on Byzantium (Alexanders bloodline) and now I am getting the conver the Hagia Sophia even an infinite amount of times, getting the rewards too. Tried restarting but still happens. Also really lagging the game.

Update: after about 50 events, and a ton of piety, it ended. Guess problem solved?

The same thing happened to me. Playing as Umayyad, I used Alexander's bloodline to take over the entirety of the Byzantine empire. I think that you get one event for every holding conquered, because I ended up getting 698 events. I could tell how many because you get +10 to your religious adviser every time.
