It's well known that the clausewitz-engine has got issues.
In hoi4, 3 of 4 games get dumped becaus ppl start to desync even thou they have cleared their cache - something that should be automated anyways, but u know - paradox.
Stellaris is unplayable after 200 years because its slowing down like crazy.
And ck2 needst to be restarted all 50 ingame years after some while.
Its just pity of you, stating the problem would be on my end, when 90% of ppl agree on paradox beeing really bad (or lazy) when it comes to netcoding.
But you two surely deserve a dino-sticker in your homework-book for defending the undefendable. Made my day xD
Stellaris and CK2 face the same slow down issues for the same reasons, that is too many different variables being run by too many different actors. You cannot escape this within the Clausewitz engine since it is a product of it's time and the way Paradox has gone about this is quite ambitious and quite clearly pushes the current software to it's limits.
So this is common knowledge. That is a fact. What is the point of your post? Their MP works just fine for me, the slowdowns occur in SP so why wouldn't they in MP? What makes you think that these issues wouldn't occur in MP? How is your MP experience ruining the game for you when it's super obvious that everything as is can only run as well as it can with the current limitations?
What other game do you know that runs with so many different entities computing on a real-time basis, that does it better? What could EVER be your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point? LMAOOOOO
Im not saying theyre without issues, nothing is, but saying the entire company sucks because multiplayer doesnt work for YOU, thats stupidity
Paradox games do really suck in multiplayer - clausewitz has been good enough 7 years ago, and nothing u say can change that.
If paradox would make it right, they would change the engine, or try to code their games better. Nothing is happening, because we are stupid enought to but their overpriced DLC.
U know it ;)
EVE Online as a hint... Dwarf Fortress as another.
If you don't understand : there is a technical limitation and modern PC performance almost stop growing (multi coring isn't helping if calculations are based on each other like in strategy game).
You can't do anything here (aside from require cloud computering / supercomputers
Oh wow, with a whole of 2 friends. Wow.
U know real multiplayer games are hosting a lot more ppl? Thats where you would see the obvious problems too.
The games "work" with friends, because one can save and reload. Thats not what i would call optimal.
theyre hosting max 64 people but theres a lot less parameters they have to take into account, which means its easier to get them to run smoothly, like a battlefield gsme doesnt have as many parameters to take into account as lets say HOI4 does.
apart from that, lol @thread. currently playing ck2 with my fiancee and things work perfectly fine (aside from the fact that we have to load autosave pretty much at least once every 10 to 20 years because there's always some event that completely ♥♥♥♥♥ up either my or her realm but that's to be expected)
I would have understand dozends - not my first language either. Well, if it works with 24 ppl for you, it is giving me hopes.
It isnt even slowing down over time, forcing you to save and restart with the save game? What connection do u have? Any tips on how to get that god-tier-performance?
I hardly ever hear it's working in any way. Most ppl got the same problems like i do, so...
