You also need to understand that landed characters are a lot more difficult to convert than unlanded characters. It is generally a better strategy to target the landed character's spouse instead, who can then induct their children into your faith.
Finally, have a lot of children yourself, induct them while they are still young and impressionable, and marry them off to spread their faith elsewhere.
Focus mostly on diplomatic characters so that they can do some recruiting of their own.
