Conclave Education System for Dummies
This is a quick down and dirty guide to simplify education.

A childs potential is in part inherited by the BASE stat's of his parents
These are his stats unmodified bye traits. Yes you may have used WoL foci to
mold your characters into studs but this matters NOT....

So if your looking for a Breeding Pair your looking at highest base stats!!!

Next what are those childhood traits?

Good ones are - Conscientious / Rowdy / Affectionate / Curious

Bad ones are - Timid / Idolizer / Haughty / Indolent

Meh ones are - Brooding / Willful / Playful / Fussy

Educations to pick-

Safest education is Duty:
it gives a buff to the development of the Stewardship Stat with no debuffs to other stat's and it does not turn into any bad adult personality traits either....
It does however have a good chance of developing Stressed which is easily fixed with a few quick years of carousing....

Struggle and Thrift are very simliar in there Very Good upsides both leading to one Good Childhood trait and one Meh childhood trait...

If you go with Struggle you should match it with Martial training and a ( Brave Proud )Educator
for best result.

and

If you go with Thrift and Develop a Curious Child
You could create a Super Diplomat if you then go with a Diplomacy focus
Or you can go with any focus you want and develop a more rounded character
Just be sure that your Educator is (Patient)

However if you get Fussy you should focus on Intrigue and be sure your educator is (Diligent)

Avoid Ettiquette / Pride as they have very little upside and faith is the safe way to get Idolizer a bad childhood trait...

This leaves Humility as a bit of a Wildcard- it could lead to Affectionate which is a great but it could also lead to timid which is Horrible.... If you do take this gamble and recieve
Affectionate then be sure your educator is (Charitable) Best focus with it is Diplomacy and worst focus with it is Intrigue...
if your less lucky and you get
Timid then you will want to have a (Content) Educator with a Learning Focus

So Quick Recap

Duty is the safest education

Struggle and Thrifty both have good upside
If stuggle you want a Proud Brave Educator and Military focus
If Thrifty your hoping for Curious with a Patient Educator

*Note this was intended as more of a how too then a why does it work that way thread*
Also

This thread assumes that the player
Prefers- Stewardship and Martial over Intrigue and Learning with Diplomacy being neautral....

If however you do prefer Intrigue and Learning over Martial and Stewardship then everything this guide says is opposite of what you want to do :)

It's much faster for people to read http://www.ckiiwiki.com/Education_(Conclave)#Traits and honestly the wiki is probably the first place people should go to learn anything, and only question stuff if it is outdated.

I personally prefer struggle for my sons (male courtiers), and thrift and duty for my daughters (female courtiers)

I marry into stewardship while having all my sons be military focus with brawy giving them stupid amounts of health via traits, troops for conquerering, and excessive amounts of gold via the mercenary system.
