Does anyone play with Chinese Imperialism?
What are your thoughts? I just got the option to convert my empire to Chinese Imperialism, but I'm not sure if it's worth it?

I greatly enjoy it and I feel as if it has many benefits. You can own cities which is nice. I had a massive cash cow in Xia. 5 cities and 2 castles as well as a tradepost. Between my demesne and my 4 trade posts I was making 250 gold a month alone. You also get a nice naming system so your rulers adopt a name upon their ascension to the throne. No negative religious opinions are nice however you can no longer demand conversion as you and your government are above religious infighting.

I had an ironman game where I started out as Xia in 1066 and by a 150 years later I was the Sao Empire which spanned all of Tibet, all of India, and is currently invading the Turkish Empire. I also fought a short but heart racing war with China and placed my brother on the throne (shame you cant take it and adicate in favour of your heir...).

Anyways, I think it is the best government type in the game. You get the benefits of owning cities and tradeposts like a Merchant Republic, the prestige gains of a Feudal Monarchy, a unique naming system, no negative religion opinions, as well as the fun roleplaying of a Chinese Pretender Empire. You dont get negative wrong government modifiers if you want to create many Republics to get ample taxes, you can retract from vassals and no one cares except said vassal, and you can revoke duchy level titles like you can with the law Imperial Administration for free without actually having the law Imperial Administration,

Search for "Adopt Chinese Imperialism" in the wiki. It sounds interesting apart from the not being able to usurp kingdoms.
