What events will my Immortal Byzantine Emperor encounter?
This is the first time I've ever gotten immortality, and it happened legitimately during an ironman game. I want to know what kind of events I'll encounter and why/when they occur. My character is 110 and so far the only event I've had about immortality was one mayor vassal getting suspicious about my immortality. I have heard about some weird events like an immortal horse fighting you and something about a perpetual motion machine, but I have no clue what to actually expect. If it makes a difference, my character is not a lunatic nor possesed and he's very well rounded with stats (all of them are around 20). Also I do not want to take any risks with dying so if somebody has tips on how to avoid some method of death that is unique to immortals that would be appreciated. My goal btw is to rebuild Rome with THIS character since he's a total badass. Also I got the immortal trait from cleopatra who is still in my court if that matters.

Congratulations on your achievement! You are the first one I have heard to have achieved immortality. Knowing Paradox, there likely is a whole host of cool events for immortality trait but I suspect they might be reserved for those lunatic or possesed characters you mentioned.

Only tips I can give you are the ones I have used to keep my characters alive. My characters usually always die in battle, by disease or by natural death. I think you only need to avoid getting assassinated which is surprisingly easy by just making sure to treat your subjects fairly and have a good spymaster scheming on your capital all the time.

Also I would not risk my skin on a battlefield AT ALL. As an emperor I'm sure there are plenty of people to do that for you :)

Well, there is that one event where another Immortal spawns (and he's like, what, 1500 years old!), and he is... hell-bent on killing you. Better hope you can deal with that (high diplomacy helps, tho im not sure how high exactly, 20 may well be enough). And then there's the event where Death comes to collect your soul and you gotta play chess with him (Game Master lifestyle trait helps immensely there)... good luck with that too! But AFAIK those events have very low chance of firing so maybe you'll get lucky. :P

You, will be struck down by god when you least expect it and he will say "did you really think you were immortal?": :)

The death event happens even if you are not immortal, I've encountered it several times as a normal character.

Since you aren't a lunatic, you won't see an immortal Glitterhoof.

As for dying, there's that pesky event about another immortal who could possibly try to kill you, if it fires. You mentioned your character being a "total badass", how strong is he in terms of Personal Combat Skill / Intrigue / Learning? If any of those is very high, you should have a much better chance at surviving an encounter with an immortal rival.

Over 20 in learning, intrigue, diplomacy. Almost 20 stewardship. Marital is like 15 and personal combat score isn't anything special. I know there are characters with much better stats (Satan spawns cough cough) but when I say "badass" I mean as far as accomplishments which I know are pretty irrelevant with regards to passing event stat checks. He's personally went from a count under the Byzantines to emperor of the Roman Empire. Now the requonquering is being done.

I can't get lunatic from the studying the stars events so how else could I get it reliably? That's only way I usually get it.

Over 20 should be plenty to resist against an immortal rival, you should be fine. I had like 18 intrigue when it happened to me and I could survive the encounter. As for demonspawns... yeeeah, got one of those wrecking my dynasty right now -_-

Becoming a Satanist's another good way to go at it. Be aware that, should you go down that path, your traits will likely tank down a fair amount at the beginning, although it tends to stabilize back up (though heavy focused on intrigue) later down the line.

I got the great pox on purpose since it usually makes you go insane. Then Satan not only cured my syphillis but also made my eye grow back! I got the glitter hoof and immortal glitterhoof events so let's see what happens.
