my late 20's to 40 year old characters that i like always seem to die having sex. but when i deliberately tried to kill a character through sex stress he has survived for more than 20 years and has 21 lovers currently. i started when he was in his 40's. sadly there was a major dlc that came out so i never went back to continue that game
Or, if you're playing with the Reaper's Due DLC, put your character as commander of a small army and station the army in diseased counties. Try to pick up 2 diseases at the same time. That's usually enough to kill you.
Sorry. Ahem.
You could try the Rulership focus. It will give you a nice boost to your stewardship and thus more money while your current character lives. There's a chance to get the depressed trait (i get it far to often) and with that you have an option to commit suicide.
If you're a vassal of someone and/or there are a lot of battles going on, or perhaps some viking raiders you could go hunt them down with your ruler leading. Only call up 1 castles levies and have him lead. You're trying to lose the fight here and get him killed or in the process.
You could put your ruler on a boat with that small army and leave him out there sailing around. There's a chance he'll get scurvy and hopefully die due to it.
If you have any rivals, you can choose the War focus and challenge them to a duel and hope you lose. If it's not ironman you can load and try the duel till you die.
Always the option of cheating as well if it's not ironman. Use the console kill command to off him, or give him lots of sickness and he'll be gone.
In the end I'd say try to give him a go though. Remember that losing in CK2 can be part of the fun. Having it all fall apart makes for a great comeback story. Just watch out that your whole dynasty doesn't get wiped out in the process.
Edit: didn't expect the other responses so quickly haha
i find it more fun to try and work around/fix a messy character.
poor stats and bad vassal relations are often due to vices or other negative traits. you can fix some of that stuff through events.
for example, if your dude is "arbitrary", he'll have a -5 penalty to vassal opinion and lowered learning and stewardship. he can become "just" (opposite trait) through some events, though. which replaces the -5 penalty with a +5 bonus and also gives a bonus to learning & stewardship.
Ah, true. I was just trying to answer help him get the result he was looking for fast and leave the variables of the decision up to him since that factor is pretty much common knowledge as far as I know. Also, no need to get so technical about the name of the "Ambition" when i was refering to the option that comes after you set the war chest as an ambition. :P
