the choice is whether your character believes her story, pretends to belief it or outright refuses to listen to that obvious lie.
you already have a few kids, so it's really up to your roleplaying which reaction would be most fitting. if that kid were the only choice to continue the campaign, i'd take a secret cuckoo basterd over the "game over" screen any day.
i'm sure the original bloodlines of my dynasties in various playthroughs were often replaced by secret bastards. doesn't really matter for the game, though. succession is a social concept, not genetic. if your toon accepts the kid as his, it is his, even if it's not truly his offspring.
