disease in ck2
people died way more often from disease in the medieval time, it'd be cool to see more people dying from common diseases and infections too. the player's dynasty however should have a smaller chance of catching a common disease or infection in easy to medium modes, and normal chance in hard mode. what u guys think?

Probably the CK2 version of a heart attack tbh.

but its broken nontheless. why is being a lil bit stressed just as bad for your health as being depressed?

No, heart attack is "died clutching at their chest." Stress death is more likely a stroke.

But what exactly is the OP talking about? The RD DLC did that for the game.

Both are overblown, should be more like -.25 for stressed and - .5 for depressed. If I was a character in CKII I'd be dead by now.

You're forgetting all the health bonuses you gain from living in a modern society.

More on topic, with Reaper's Due you can use the game options at start to enchance diseases if you think theyre underperforming.

what happened to dying from things like bad doctors, more often illness, dying early in life because your body is still fragile and weak and so on.. yeah rd does add quite alot of that good stuff, but more could be added i think

I'm not actually. There were worse eras to live in for health. If you made it past early childhood, you'd likely make it to your fifties or sixties with little problem, especially as nobility.

To be honest, it would be more unrealistic if the king died from more common colds and diseases, because the king is at the pinacle, and gets the best food, clothing, and heigene. The total care for the king amounts to roughly the health care of the modern lower class society, even without the use of antibiotics and such. The common cold would almost never kill a king because the cold is a virus, and depends more on the person's health in general and not on modern medicines.

People are too healthy at CK2 and live by far too long. Some could say it is for playability.
Pick up randomly a european country between XI th th to XIV th century an look at the kings. How old they were when they died ?
Reasonnable average seems to be 45 years old for late middle age.
