Do be aware that the resulting child is of the mother's dynasty and will have no father.
Had to kill the CK2 process to stop it from saving, since it was ironman. Reloaded and quit the faith right away. But then, half of my subjects had adopted the Germanic faith which resulted in a huge civil war to regain my titles.
CK2 just trolled me...
You control Ireland and much of Scotland. You should have several royal lines by now. Unless you are still in the first generation, in that case - well ... ♥♥♥♥.

No because I don't own neither of those DLCs. There shouldn't be an option to join a secret society at all and why would you allow me to join a germanic faith, when one of the decisions (make the religion official) would end up being a game over?
I don't even own the Old Gods or the secret societies DLC, it seems some of the decisions and events have seeped into the vanilla client...
