So, how many actually of them can you get without DLC? Because ater 140 years I could see only one, which is someone`s bone, and almost any bigger ruller has it.

If you can raid, the old +2 Axe event gives a weapon artifact now. The "strange metal chest" is an artifact too, but hopefully temporary. The Necromonicon from the Scholar focus event chain is an artifact too. Those are all that I remember from old events, plus the Saint's Bone that you mentioned, but I may be forgetting one or two. I bought the DLC and most of the artifacts tend to be crowns, scepters, and weapons, with the Hermetic stuff (ingredients, Magnum Opera) featuring heavily too.

Unique sword called Vengence. The feweled Danda is pretty good too. The Necklace of Radiance is mid tier as I know there is a necklace called the Cellestial Necklace that is better. Most of the stuff is from raiding.

This is from a Bizantine Duke. He has better stuff than the Emperor. The sword Heartseeker has the same stats as my sword. Crown is the top tier that I have seen. Emerald Scepter and Sword of Heroes are also top tier. There might be uniques of these items, but I haven't seen them.

This was an old save game that I resumed recently. I didn't see much of these high level items in a game where I started at a bookmark start. I still don't see much for good items in the Catholic realms.

Does rome not have the bones of st peter without the dlc? Those are pretty OP if you can get them somehow.

What I said in my first post is pretty much the list of available artifacts without the DLC. You can't get Crown Jewels, Crafted Weapons, Hermetic Society, or most of the Religious Artifacts without M&M. It's a free addition, but if you don't have the DLC you pretty much just get the old modifiers from events (like the +2 Axe or Saint's Bone) as items now.

I have several swords, a mace, some finger bones a bunch of human body parts, a painting, a few scepters and two crowns. All obtained between 867 and the current year 1098. Oh and the skull of one of my more annoying relatives.

i dont have jade dragon yet but when i search artifacts i only ever find magnificent painting and fingers! is this tied to time like history dates or is it just random cos mostly just see magnificent painting in my games that the ai acquire.

The M&M dlc is required if you want to steal people's artifacts through raiding (event MNM.9900).

If you have neither M&N nor Jade Dragon, those are the only artifacts you'll find. The +2 axe and strange chest requires Old Gods as well.

It's an extremely rare and infrequent event to fire.

However, if the holder of the artifact has more artifacts, the chance to get one stolen from them goes up quite a bit.

You can't specifically look at someone's inventory and say "steal me that". It's all RNG. My first stolen artifact was actually the crown of Lombardy, when I was playing a Danish Viking.

These ppl who have those religious artifacts only has those artifacts and nothing else (im playing as norse pagan btw). But I still can't seem to get the items from them even if I raid like 5 times or more.

That's what I mean. If that's the ONLY thing they have, it's very unlikely for you to take it from them.

If they have, like 20 things, stuff gets stolen left and right.
