Fellowship of Hel..

I find it very hard and way to common to have people in the fellowship of hel. I was playing as scandinavia, reformed the norse faith, became emperor, and was doing damn good. I noticed an alarming number of lunatics amongst my lords for no reason I could discern. Soon later i noticed quite literally half of my lords and kings were lunatics AND possessed. 5 transitions of power later from dead emperors and my current emperor is the head of the fellowship of Hel. I am not sure what to do with this, the lords who are not satan worshipers hate him. I just do not get what makes 99% of the norse faith turn mad and worship hel for some reason. Is this a bug?

It's probably because the Fellowship of Hel and the other satanic societies are a smidge overpowered, since you can heal yourself and kill off your enemies pretty much for free, and make friends with everyone by posessing them. Just how the AI works, I suppose.

Not anymore..In the 2.7.1 patch they nerfed the demon worshippers to hell..Also , if you reveal yourself as a demon worshipper you are done..
They released a beta for 2.7.1..Curentlly playing with it..They also added religious cults for all heresies and religions ( including the unreformed pagans )..Ingredients can also be used now..

I donno where you get that, I have gotten the "associates with undesirables" event from several godis talking about a player and I couldn't do anything to them without angering my vassals.

They are still untouchable and spread like wild fire. There needs to be a "hold an inquisition" event you can drop your spiritual leader on a "known associate of undesirables" and out them.

It's probably because Pagans only get demon worshipping societies, so there's no alternatives for the A.I. to join.

It is just the Satanist cult, but Satan is replaced with Hel. It's the only society Germanic Pagans can join. Unless they're reformed, then they can do the secret society option if they false convert.
