Satanism questions

Enjoying being a satanist... but I'm trying to figure out what determines when I can or cannot use certain skills on certain NPCs.

For example, I just did a start in Spain as Leon, and I can't kidnap my Castille brother or his heir and have him brought back to me in a sack. The option doesn't show up.

I became head of the cult, had my wife join, and then went to give her Unholy Impregnation so my son would be a devil spawn, but I can't get the option to impregnate her. Works on some random courtier I convert and impregnate but not my wife.

And she wants it... she is just dying to give birth to the anti-christ.. so I need to figure this out or I will never hear the end of it.

I'm sure I was of sufficient level, with over 3000 points to spend, she was a member of the cult... not already pregnant... the option itself just doesn't show up for her. It's not like it shows up and she is getting a red X in some criteria...

Did you have a mission to impregnate the courtier? From reading the code, either you take the decision on a women who you have a mission to do it to, or you do it to yourself as a female.

No mission, no. But it shows as like an ability... with my other abilities for a fixed cost. But if it only works for missions, or on yourself, then that would explain the problem.

I have done it on a mission before, which just says find any girl of child bearing age who is also a member of the cult. So generally I convert some random courtier and that worked. But yeah it was on a mission.

If you are a member of the cult, it can be given as a quest.

Yea I just got the High Priest title, and was eager to do it, but I guess I have to wait

So after I've been appointed High Priest Lucifor's Own, I haven't really gotten any quest yet. Do I have to start them as the High Priest, or do the still just randomely appear ?

I believe the quest is Priest and up. To do it to yourself you have to be high priest, but in the quest (when I got it at least) the big guy was giving you the honor of choosing who gets to carry it. The only annoying caveat is it has to be in your court.

Assuming your realm could handle the literal hell you'd unleash on it, that's when you pick your wife. Or yourself, if you can. A random courtier might complete the assignment, but thematically it's a horrible waste of a devil-spawn.

The quest assignments seem to unlock as you go (aka, can get a possession mission anywhere above conjurer), so it's probably just a waiting game for the quest system to decide it's a good idea. Ahem, sorry, I mean Lucifier to give you the infernal sign his child is coming.

The restrictions they put on it are really weird, either you do it to yourself as a female high priest, or you do it to any woman in your cult who is also in your court when you get the mission to do it. The problem with that is as the high priest you don't get missions anymore from my experience.

I've noticed those posts too, I'm really not sure what to think about what's going on. I've been able to do it to myself as a female high priest but never been able to target anybody else except the one time I got it as a mission.

Yeah me too.. on a totally different skill, what mechanic is stopping me from making kidnap attempts on certain people? Is it no family? No Heirs? No one that would win a war?

No patricians, nobody who is a duke or above unless it's a landless title, nobody whose mother, father, or spouse is a duke or above. And obviously you can't abduct yourself, and in multiplayer games you can't abduct other players. That's it.

You can't abduct anyone of Duke tier or Duke tier relation unless they're landless like a mercenary leader or a revolt leader
