Not sure what it specifically turns off regarding the new DLC, but checking that option
should suffice.
"there is a new Game Rule to turn off the Demon Worshipper cults" !!
It doesn't seem fantasy settings to me as if you predict the future and get a positive result - you will be more confident yourself. Or if you think that Depression Potion worked and cured your depression - then you probably aren't depressed anymore.
It's definitely very fantasy-ish.
It's too early to tell. I'm of the mind the Hermetical Order (which I'm a part of) is all in their mind. The other secret societies - well I don't yet know.
The 2 christian orders have no supernatural powers as far as I can tell. They do have the ability to toggle celibacy at will which is a bit weird...
Hermetical Order gets some weird abilities but it's explained in terms of their minds rather than supernatural stuff.
I have no idea about assasins, haven't played as muslims except when playing as a fake muslim who was secretly zoroastrian just to check out that stuff.
Secret religious orders (which can be founded after using the new false conversion mechanic) don't get anything supernatural, they can just convert random people and create secret religious societies within their counties.
Lucifer's own definitely get supernatural powers.
Events-wise I only really know about Lucifer's own and secret religious orders. The former get supernatural events (summoning a random ass demon to potentially get a stat benefit... or cancer) while the latter don't seem to (I've only ever got a religion fueled bar brawl event)
Well I used satanic powers to give my wife literal cancer, I'm assuming that was pretty real.
