How do you get the Immortalliy Event?
I mean, is it random? Or is there step by step method to get it?

Random. Being old/low health helps.

You get a pop-up where your character talks to the council about matters of life and death. Eventually a mystic of some variety will turn up, but the catch is that there's sometimes an invisible flag on the mystic character (mystic_is_fraud) which will always auto-fail the quest. I think one of your councillors can warn you about the fraud, but I don't think this is reliable; check if they're deceitful.
If you get the genuine one make sure you have plenty of money and it's still rng whether you succeed or not.

If you get the trait, it just stops you from aging, you can still get killed or maimed/disfigured. Not sure about disease.

Ok thanks!

You could look it up yourself. The language that Paradox uses to make their events is pretty self-explanatory. The eventchain you're asking about is in \Crusader Kings II\events\rip_eternal_life_events.txt.

The chance of the event triggering is under "mean_time_to_happen" line, so
mean_time_to_happen = {
months = 3000

means that on average it fires once every 3000 months. This value is further augmented by modifiers such as:

modifier = {
factor = 0.9
age = 50
}

this means that if your character is 50 years old, multiply "mean_time_to_happen" value by 0.9, so the chance becomes 3000*0.9.

You can google stuff you don't understand, and you will probably find what it means. Good luck!

Didn't they change it so you could also regrow limbs after extremely long times?

I got the reincarnation one, and anecdotally it seems like having a highly skilled councilor will increase your chances of finding the mystic altogether

A long living ruler, on average, should get a shot at it once.

I got it on ironman and got the achievement to prove it. Basically it's random when you get the event chain but you will want to have a very high trait (at least 22 I think) to give you the best chance. Having lots of money can help too.

At first you'll get a popup about matters of life and death. This si random when it can popup my ruler was about 30 when it popped up for him but it usally tends to happen at an older age.

After a couple of popups you will be asked to get a certain counceller (if you have a high enough stat point. Min is a bout 12 I think but you stand far more chance if it's much higher). I know there is deplomacy,martial and Intrigue, can't remember if there is a stewardship or learning one. For my character I choose to send the Marshall (because my characters martial was about 22 at the time).

He may ask you for money (I choose the most expensive option as I think it increases your chances of getting a mystic and possibly one that isn't a fraud but not sure).

If a mystic shows up then she will set you 3 trials with the 3rd being the one to test for immortality. For Martial the 1st test involves seeing what the bones she places on the floor describes and I choose the barrel option which apparently was the right answer. With each sucessful traits you gain relationship with the mystic and usally some nice traits (failure can result in the mystic leaving you and gaining bad traits or much worse things which can inc deaths.

2nd test has similar results to the 1st. I got the snake in the jar and choose the defensive option which suceeded.

The 3rd test is the one that can cause you to get immortailty. This is the 3rd test my character had.

I choose the top option and now depending on wether the mystic is fake or real will determine what happens next.

If the mystic is fake then I believe your character dies and gets reincarnated into a child.

If however you were fortunet like I was then she could be real and this happens

and now my character is immortal. Here is the trait.

There you have it. Sadly he wasn't immortal for long and got killed fighting rebels even though he had 29 Martial. gahhhhhhh

The reincarnation one kind of sucks. I managed to get it once, and the reincarnated character ended up getting eaten by his former son because he developed some ♥♥♥♥ traits in his second life, and just couldn't stick to eating his own damn rations while we were secluded during the plague. Apparently I had to go through half my court before people finally got it through their head that if they eat more than their share, I eat them.

I dunno. I've had limbs regrow as the spawn of satan, my one immortal guy didn't get maimed.

I remember them talking about it, because if you could end up with some incapable guy who refuses to kick the bucket or something equally annoying. Not sure if it actually got implemented or not.

One drawback to immortality is so many damn children you cant even pick out their potraits anymore. I had a character as king of norway for 268 years before he was killed raiding. A wife and three concubines, I stopped counting the children after 30.

All 4 mystics have different events. Cleopatra failed me only once, when she died of age before 3rd Trial. An you can easily know if mysic is fraud or not. When you send your people to find a mystic, you can choose who to send. It'll be a main stat of mystic. If mystic have this stat 20+, he's real.
