Eldest son not heir under primogeniture
I have the empire of Brittania and have been expanding into Spain. I gave my eldest son the land in Spain (Sevilla, Cordoba) and then gave him the ttular kingdom of castille so that he could become a king. As soon as i gave him the title, i got a pop up saying that i have a new heir and my heir is now my second son who is a duke under the king of Germany (Not my vassal).

Anyone know why this has happened, i can only assume it has something to do with him being a titular king unless it was just a massive coincidence. I really want my eldest to be the heir because he is an amazing character, so any help in rectifying this would be great.

I remember having an amazing heir once. He died when he was 21 of lepperosy.

When you gave hime the kingdom title, did he become independent? Does he have children? And if not, is he able to have children?

Do you have your crown laws set to prevent lands leaving your country on inheritance? Because that sounds like what happened... either that or maybe Castille has them set.

Castille at this point is Not Dejure to your Empire! Thus as a king not in the De Jure lands of Brittania he cannot inherit as you have the laws preventing titles to pass from your Empire!

Or Hispania has the Law set that titles cannot pass from the realm thus causing the exact same issue....

I think you might be able to fix this by giving him a kingdom in Brittania! Like Wales or Ireland etc...
