So one thing that i'm still missing in this game is the ability to righteously imprison people because they are heretics, that really should be an option. Or even outright burn them at the stake, I wanna play an inquisitor! Those were fun guys. Possibly a future option to rule as a spanish inquisitor , new type of government more intimate with the pope?

Maybe if righteous imprisonment of heretics makes the game too easy, just the ability to wage war on your own heretic vassals with a heretic CB?
As a catholic, I joined the secret norse pagan. I never reformed so it is the unreformed I would say that in less than a year the leader came out of the closet and brought everyone else with him. I hadn't even gotten close to the second tier. Once you come out, you can't go back to your old religion even using the religion of your capital. You can join other secret societies once exposed.
It's kind of odd that my whole realm is almost all catholic and hardly any of my vassals are catholic because they were all in secret societies and had mass conversions.
An interesting thing is that it also converts non-germanic provinces. If it is an event then it actually could be quite cool. A religious schism-war, driven by fanatical "old believer", could be quite interesting in my current game But it is weird that it i so sudden and without even a message to let me know it has happened. If it was a smaller amount of provinces that converted + a boost to conversion for old germanic and greater unrest for those provinces, then it could be an interesting mid-game challenge: "the revenge of the old gods".
But for the moment it seems like a bug.
