What does safe mode do and why is there a better chance of it working in safe mode?
I turned some settings down. I don't know which, but stuff I don't care for like... the cloud.
Did you find a solution ? Mine crashes every couple of turns, with or not the safe mode.
The first thing is: never use the wide-view spell screen, that causes all sorts of problems. The second oen is, never alt-tab out of the game.
That aside it has to be a local problem. Check with ATI, nVidia or Intel for video driver updates.
I've got the latest drivers for my graphics card and don't have problems with other games.
Something is wrong with the game. It may only be on certain systems but the problem is there and the support is non-existent.

Actually I can explain this to you logically.
I'm a programmer. Lets say I write a little program that works on all Windows machines except it crashes on machines with 5.1 surround sound speakers enabled.
Does the problem lie with the program or with the system?
