Awesome game!
I finished this TR recently and loved it. I missed Lara's hard personality, but I prefer her new outfit, I respect her more now; I think her past outfit made her too sexy for her personality I think. Come on, Alistar looks gay, but how could Zip work with a hot woman like that by his side? And did anyone notice how her shirts were always opened on the sides, even in the Russian level? Anyway... I enjoyed this new gameplay too, more stealth and exploration and all. I hope the next one develops Lara into the bad-ass she is, and also hope for more acrobacies... Maybe they could put on a part for Lara to actually learn about these acrobacies like she had that training room in her mansion.

I don't know , I think I liked the new one. There may be a way to transition her slowly over time but I prefer the more "real" one.

Also, I don't think in the remake timeline that she has a mansion per se. It says that she has her parent's wealth but she isn't touching it. In one scene she even says that she worked late shifts at a bar to pay for her tuition.

Really? When does she says that? I missed it... Damn! Hehehe. I'm also curious about her parents too. Her father was mentioned a lot, but no one explained what happened. The only thing I know about Lara's past is that she used to travel with Sam - that part showed a more human side of her too... Anyway, I hope the sequel doesn't take too long.

Im 4 hours in and love it. The graphics are amazingly well done, the character is fun and interesting, and the gameplay isnt bad. The QTE are kind of silly (quick time events, if your like me and didnt know what it meant). The game is pretty believable and highly unforgiving until you get the hang of it. I died 4 times against mr. rapeface in some pretty graphic ways. Im really liking the stealth aspects of the game (preferring the bow over any other weapon). I was a little disasppointed at the amount of ammo laying around, since i thought it would be more survival themed but hey, its still pretty good. I even like a few of the cast members (the guy with the escape shirt has some awesome lines, even if they are pretty basic).

I wish i could run the hair setting but my system loses about 5 fps for it and it puts me below what i find acceptable.

Ps, she apparently worked in a bar called 9 bells. When she bandages a cast member, she mentions it. "a wolf bite is nothing compared to a broken bottle at the 9 bells" or something along those lines.

And the scene where you climb the radio tower (seen in the trailer) is about as fist pump as it comes.

This game is epic...It was one of those games I wished just wouldn't end...

I couldn't run the hair settings too. The game just runs too slow with it on, so I turn it down and it goes perfect. I'm afraid I'll have to get a new computer for next-gen games; mine runs current gen graphics pretty well... I'm just waiting for PS4 price here in Brazil.

After Discovering Roth as he's fighting off Wolves with his pistols akimbo, then rescuing the pack.

Roth: Where'd you learn to do a thing like that lass?
Lara: Late shift at the nine bells. A broken bottle's got nothing on wolves.

Also, if you read up on the developer's character backstory of her, you see stuff like that. She turned down a free enrollment to Cambridge to go to the University College of London because she wanted to work hard and earn things, rather than rely on "rich parents"

I thought that was a hospital or something, lol. Honestly, I don't think she could afford those trips with Roth, alongside studying (including living) from a job at a bar, or hospital.

Getting a bit off topic here, but I'm in Canada and while holding down a min.wage job. I had enough money to pay for my entire tuition for 4 years and have summers off. (Not enough to pay for trips, but Roth/Grimm have a ship!)

Roth: Where'd you learn to [tie a bandage or something like that]

Lara: Late shift at the [something] bar. Wolves have nothing on a broken glass bottle.

that part is right after he wakes up when you go get the first aid kit for him.

Don't recall the tuition part, but I may have missed it from another conversation.

Thanks, guys. I didn't read the character backstory... That sounds cool. Maybe we'll get even a prequel someday with some of her trips. Or even a teenager Lara.

I think this game is an awsome reboot of the IP. I love the new Lara!
