I don't see an achievement called Chatterbox in the achievements section?
Talk to whitman [have 45 scrap max]
Get dat scrap
Talk to whitman
Upgrade pry axe now and only now
Now follow a guide and you are good to go. I started an easy run as I missed this and had it in a few hours. You can stop the run shortly after you get back from the endurance.
As far as MP cheeves go, that isnt a problem. I only have one achieve left, and I added 3 other players [from a thread here] for that one, just have to schedule a time when we can all do it. The rest just take persistance playing MP, and "quick match" is still very active. The MP is fun, albeit horribly unbalanced in several areas.
Most MP achieves you dont even need to play MP anyway, they can be farmed.
Does anyone else get that symbol after one full set of conversation? The achievement guides tell that the symbol showing up was a sign to confirm that the conversation counts for the achievement.
I doubt that it did not count for me since I am absolutely sure that I went through all the conversations with Whitman now. But it's still a little strange.

I think most of the characters have 3 different sets of conversation each time you talk with them. What I did was just kept talking to them until it didn't let me anymore. The saving symbol always showed up for me so I would guess if you don't see it then the character still has something to say (or you just didn't notice the symbol). I ended up getting the achievement the first time.
I'll guess it was my luck.
for whitman you need to run around for a while it takes time do not open the door until you get the whole conversation check the guides they list exactly what he says
I managed to make it show up by collecting some more salvage after talking to him for the first set of conversation and collecting 50 salvage. But it's still inconsistent.
The requirements are talk to him until he talks no more before strengthening your pry axe. There is nothing inconsistent or difficult about it.
