endurance boss is impossible

hello everyone !! nice to meet you !! and first i'm sorry for my poor english but aniway i want to explain my pb : that's since april 24 i want to kill the boss in the endurance boat but it's impossible !! i shoot him in his head and after when the video start i press the S touch but the boss don't died - I trie fast / slow / when round is red or yelloh ... i'm desesperate :( please help

First, you need to dodge the big guy when he tries to hit you. (Shift key by default)..

Then, you can shoot him in the head. When you have hurt him enough, a skull icon appears and you need to get near to him and press the Melee key (F).

This starts a quick time event, where you have to press Melee (F) again each time the red "!" icon appears.

Actually, i was suprised at just how easy he was. Got him the first time. The dodge maneuver is the key.

Have you changed the keyboard mapping in the options?
If not, "S" is the wrong key when the "!" sign appears. You need to press "F".

Please check your keyboard mappings.

That's really odd. I read somewhere else that if the game is too slow on your machine, the QTEs don't work well. Perhaps that's your problem.

Change your keyboard mapping back to the default - the "F" key is the proper one for standard keyboards. You can add an additonal key if you like (I've found that assigning a second key sometimes helps as it probably hasn't been "mashed" as much as the default key...)

Beating the boss is a matter of timing:
- if you hit the key too soon it won't work
- if you hit it too late it won't work
- if you hold down the key or are constantly hitting it - it won't work

You have to hit it at the right time and then hit it again when prompted - you miss the timing, you have to do it again.

It isn't rocket science, there's nothing wrong with the boss or lara, you just have to get the timing down. And if you don't get this down now, you'll have problems later on when you have to repeat the process for the final two bosses.

No magic trick - and if you can't do it you might try to set the game at a lower difficulty level at that point just so you can get past it.

I kept hitting the F key as soon as the video started and the message said to press F to swing axe ... but then I realized you've got to wait until the circle narrows down and turns red.

Yeh, I made the same mistake. You have to wait for the circles to narrow right down then press the melee key. Don't even bother dodging too much, just run around mostly till you can shoot him in the head to stun him.

He's actually easy when you understand how it works.

Don't let these guys give you the standard "It's so easy, wtf is your problem, I am a godlike gamer" bullsh*t. It is easy, but if you are on a mac keyboard like me, you have to make sure you are not holding down or touching ANY other buttons but the F key when it is time to tap it. Took me a few tries when I first started the game and was in the sequence where you are rushing up the cliff and you have to dodge falling rocks - instinctively you hold down the right or left strafe button depending on the side the boulder was coming before hitting dodge - this caused the sequence to fail over and over until I realized that I had to avoid holding any other key during these QT sequences. At least, on my Mac.
