Lara's height. Are you serious?

Is it me or is Lara the shortest human being on the island? In some cutscenes she's even shorter than Sam, who's asian! I didn't know making someone innocent and inexperienced requires making them barely 5 feet tall. Watching this petite girl taking on giant dudes made me chuckle a bit. I'm curious was she this tiny in previous TR games?

Even if we assume she's actually average female height (170cm) she's still tiny compared to others. Which makes no sense to me.

May I ask what country you're referring to? The average female height in Canada, the US, and the UK is about 163cm/5'4", and I'd say the current Lara is actually shorter than that. She does seem tiny like you said. The "traditional Lara" definitely looked taller though, at around 175cm/5'9" if I had to guess.

It's not only about raiding tombs, it's about the puzzles and the challenge they provided. That's what Tomb Raider was always about. That and the impression we are on a location that was not visited in years. Not a island full of mad people. I only hope this existed in this Tomb Raider because of the story. I loved the game but it's still not what the Lara Croft fans want. At least not for me.

Reported where and by whom? "Old" Lara was tall, taller than 180 I'd guess. They made "new" Lara shorter to make her more realistic.

By the developer on their official website. It was mentioned in one of the threads about Lara's new look/body.

The only thing that I as Lara Croft fan don't want is romance. Other than that I trust Crystal Dynamics and Rhianna Pratchett.

Revised Lara (anniversary) was 5'9" (1.75 m)
Rebooted Lara is 5'6" (1.68 m)

She's not short, she's 7 feet tall, it's just that everyone else in the game is 8-9 feet tall.

And I hate that when my heroes are that tall because I'm just 5'8'' and I do have a problem with that; almost everyone is taller than me :/

Of course it's not forbidden, I just don't think it's important enough to deserve discussion. If that is your only concern than you didn't enjoyed the first Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider The Last Revelation or even Tomb Raider Underworld. I don't think the height of a character is important do decide if a game is good or not. It is your opinion and that's okay, I respect that. I just notice there's more relevant issues than that, in fact, I don't complain about her height. One thing that I consider to be very well made it's the scars she gain along the game, really cool, even though she seems too much invencible.

Exactly...Good game but HATE Lara model figure, she is way too short. That why I said in my thread She is unlike Lara.

eh, her height seems fine also remember, shes maybe...21 i think thereabouts, she has more time to grow.
