You wouldn't miss anything if you skip on multiplayer entirely.
Yeah, I can't remember all those proper names :D
This game is good, imo. But ignore the DLCs.
First of all, the many individual skins... Really?... That's so obnoxiously from DLC-world, since in previous games you would be able to simply open up skins and use them without having to pay extra after having bought the game. And what's the point of it? A different look? I don't care about more than the main character "as is" to be honest.
Now, if that "camouflage"-skin would actually have an effect, please let me know, that could be cool. But I doubt it's just a visual change once again...
The same counts for the silencer, that could be fun to play with if it actually changes the way you play, if you can actually use stealth that is. Does this make a nice difference, or is it just like kind of there? Please let me know about that as well.
For the rest, it all seems multiplayer-based (except for the one piece of DLC), with just map-packs and weapons for multi-player (Are these usable in singleplay?). And I heard that the multiplayer is kind of just generic anyway, and I don't easily play multiplayer for such a game (unless it's really good) anyway. I mean, running around in modes that have been around for generations is rather boring to me. I could definitely understand that it feels tacked on just because there's a big demand in the game-market for it. In addition to the fact that this game probably needed a lot more development in terms of its main game, also having to make sure they'd maintain an iconic character and story.
Oh, and I forgot about the "upgrades". What's up with that?... Making it easier?... That's what's wrong with this generation as well, basically buying and using upgrades that are pretty much "cheats". This is the opposite of what you/they should be doing, which is making the game more challenging, because it's a game... you know... something you try to win... So rather than making it easier, they should have created something more challenging. If you consider this, then the "Ranger Mode" in "Last Light" makes a LOT more sense to buy (which you shouldn't have to), because it actually ups the difficulty rather than trying to hold your hand through the game. Anyway...
Seems like I'd be set with just the one singleplayer-DLC. Or is there more to it?
