Anyone else found this game boring?

The game is nothing like Tomb Raider, i understand it's a reboot and a prequel to the first game, but this game is more action and stealth kinda like Splinter Cell. Were the devs trying to make this game appeal to newcomers by making the game similar to games like Ghost Recon, ect...?

I am quite disappointed with Crystal Dynamics Tomb Raider games for one sole reason. Quick Time Events, these things are not good in a game like this, i was fine with the QTE's in Legend, but in this game it was a pain in the ass.

I dont really think this game is boring. it is boring when you know the whole game will be just in that island and that you cant really explore it by your own but you will need tools and wait for the story to get in some specific parts. but thats because the gameplay structure needed that. The story sucks, but overall the quality is very good. Its a reboot that changes lara and the world of croft in a good way to me, making it feel like fresh and new even if it copied other franchises a bit. who doesnt copy? but the important thing is to make something different even if you are copying, and they made it. I liked legend alot and underworld too, but actually except for the graphics they look like 90's games. and its not good for a franchise to not show something new and refreshing. They did it finally with the newer tomb raider. i cant wait for the rise of lara croft. Hope it can get soon on steam and in my library hehe

i loved the good old tomb raider, but love this new one too. Their just different styles.
If u like the old ones and do not like the new one, play the old ones eh?

One thing this game doesn't show is real tombs. You know TOMBS that made TOMB RAIDER! Now the TOMBS are little boxes with simplistic puzzles. There was no EPIC tombs. They should call this game "Raider:2015" just leave out the false advertising i.e TOMB.

Because this reboot is focusing more on the TPS and RPG elements, which can attract a much bigger crowd than the diminishing classic puzzle-solving community.

It doesn't surprise me that most Tomb Raider veterans would find it boring. The QTEs are annoying and the 'tomb raiding' is very shallow and the puzzles are way too easy. Probably the worst part of the game, which is funny for a 'Tomb Raider' game.

That being said, I didn't find the game boring overall. The story was good IMO and it kept me playing. I thought combat, weapons, and environments were nice. I really wish it wasn't so easy. I can definitly see how some people might find it boring, especially if you're looking for an old-school tomb raider experience. If I want the original experience, I'll have to find my CDs from Tomb Raider Gold in the attic.

they are cheap on steam , i bought them all in a sale , you could wait for the christmas sales ;)

im playing tomb raider 3 now and i have forgotten all the levels since its been a long time since i last played it and im getting my butt kicked dieing all the time falling into traps and not being able to make some of the tricky jumps etc , it gets annoying but i love it !

it dosent make it easy for you , its a challenge and doin all the REAL tomb raiding and puzzles in the game is awesome , brings back great memories and although i did have fun playing the reboot of tomb raider , iam still having lots more fun and feel more immersed playing a tomb raider game that came out over 15 years ago , great games never die !

I got all series of TR, and this one is nice one, nothing boring. Similar to others with new direction, very well

I thought this game was a far step away from the previous games. I did enjoy this one but it was easy and short. I dont think I died once. I miss the days of hard video games and I expected this one to bring back memories. I don't think it deserves to be grouped with the other TR games, not because it was bad, just because they took it in a whole different direction.

Tomb raider is one of the best games with a good breath taking story of the last 6 years !
Dont talk rubbish pls ... and multiplayer is not the mainthing the story is the big deal !

in 6 years ? not even close
