Crashes when climbing between rocks

I'm almost 2 hours into the game at the point where you have to climb between two rock faces after the burning Japanese temples, and the game just crashes. I've tried doing this a couple times, and the game crashes in exactly the same place. Just to troubleshoot, should I turn my graphics down, or try a fresh install? It's worked for other games before and I want to solve the problem as efficiently as possible.

EDIT: Soon after I posted this, I set my graphics to low and set Lara to the default skin in order to test the problem, and the game didn't crash. I'm not sure exactly what the problem was but I somehow resolved it. I hope this helps for other people with the same problem.

I got it to work soon after I posted this. I set the graphics to low and changed the skin to default, because I thought the sure shot outfit might be the cause. Not sure exactly why it happened, but I hope this fixes it for you too.

It happened to me also, just replayed and everything's ok

Happened to me the first try too but after I launched the game again it worked fine and I got past that part.

Temporarily turning off TressFX fixed it for me.

Of course it is. It's not like anyone's been working on it these last 10 years, and TressFX is dead tech.

once you let go one of them keys, she will crash.

Just disable TressFX.

Just disable TressFX.

Thornok is telling you that all you have to do is hold forward and not let go until the cutscene starts. You don't have to disable TressFX at all.
