Where is the save menu?
I'm going out on a limb here by being a derp and asking how to save the game. I looked in button mapping (when you pres esc) but I can't seem to find it. Can someone tell me which button to push to bring up the menu so I can save? Thank you.

You can only save at campsites

There is no manual save function, it's all automatic. Every time you see "TR" in the lower right corner, it means it's being auto saved.

It sucks because the game auto-saves?

Not sure I understand the problem - it saves after key events, after you exit a camp site and this is somehow an issue?

Auto save function is cool. Starts me off wherever I quit the game. Doesn't get any better than that.

TR has an interesting save method. It not only auto saves at certain spots and every time you use campfire or find items but apparently saves straight to Steam since my save file still existed after I reinstalled it and steam after doing a full reformat. :o

That's called Steam cloud, most games have that functionality nowadays.

IMO, yes. Checkpoint save systems suck unless the game is 100% linear.

You can force the game to save by changing save slots but it doesn't save location so it's pretty much useless except for creating backup saves.

No no. I don't mean it that way. I didn't realize how often it saved so thats why I thought it sucks cause I thought it only auto saved at camps and after main events.
