Also, this game doesn't use same textures at everywhere (unlike FC3).
Edit: Don't get me wrong; FC3 is a decent game, but I am a little disappointed by it's Assassin's Creedish gameplay and %90 of FC3 was copy-paste. This one has nice story but tombs aren't challenging like old TR games.
Inside the hubs you can pretty much do whatever you wanna do; sightseeing, exploring, collecting documents.
I guess you can compare it with Arkham Asylum. They both have sort of the linearity to the campaign as a whole, but still provide a minimal amount of exploring in each area and thus allow small variations when tackling certain situations. However most of the time is the difference of full stealth or run and gun.
