Tomb Raider games and SecuROM on Windows 10
I have bought Tomb Raider 2013(I have TR Collection) on Steam. Can I ask you about disk protection, know as SecuROM, or SafeDisk, or other things what limit count of installation this game? I want to know it, because I want to give upgrade on new system Windows 10, and I heard, that all games which use SecuROM will not working on Windows 10.

And I also ask you about another older Tomb Raider games, call TR Legend, TR Underworld and TR Anniversary. Use these games SecuROM too? Thanks.

Sorry for my eventually bad english, Im from Slovakia.

Steam games have no limit of installations and do not use disk-based protection like SecuROM or SafeDisk. Buy the game once, install Steam Client on as many systems you want and install your game via the Steam client.

Yet there is one limit: a Steam game can only be played via the Steam Client on one system at a time while Steam is in Online Mode.

I think, that you dont understand, you know what is SecuROM? Because Steam Client dont have any limits of installation all games on steam. Limit of instalation give game creators, not steam.

SecuROM is a disk-based copy protection used on CD's and DVD's.

Steam is purely digital data. No disks of any kind -> no SecuROM

You can install your Steam game as many times as you like. If you got 20 PC's with Steam Client installed you can install your game on all of them BUT(!) you can only play your game on 1(!) of those 20: the one you are currently logged in.

Aha, thanks for response. And I have one question yet. Do you use Windows 10? Running on him all Tomb Raider games? Including TR 2013 and other older TR games, for example: Legend, Underworld...?

TR 2013 works on Win 10. Just make sure you have the latest graphics and sound drivers for your hardware installed. Can't say anything about other TR games since i got none.

Underworld, Legend and Anniversary work just fine on Windows 10.
Just don't set "Next gen graphics" on Legend.

To all saying "steam games have no securom", you are a bit wrong, for example gta 4 on steam is protected with securom.

I stand corrected.

Nevertheless if a game uses a 3rd party DRM like SecuROM on Steam it is explizitly(!) noted on a game's shop page since non-Steam rules apply to it's usage. In this case Steam only provides the game files for the installation, nothing else.
