Wolf encounters bugged?

I've played this game on xbox plenty of times with no issues. But just bought it on steam and so many little problems.
But just found one that's game breaking.

During the first wolf encounter when Lara is in the bear trap, the second wolf charges from outside of the area I can aim at, almost off the screen it's so far to the left, and it's an instant kill so I'm just stuck in a loop.

Any fixes? Or any idea why that's happening?

Edit:

Managed to fix first encounter by trying one of the beta builds. However, now on the second encounter in the cave, even trying different betas, the button prompts have been appearing overlapping each other so I am prompted to mash side to side and press E and F at the same time so am considered to fail all of them, *facepalm*

Try limiting max fps to 60 in the graphics card driver control panel.

Some games have problems with high framerates - it breaks their AI or physics. Usually happens on 144Hz/240Hz monitors.

I'm not sure that limiting fps will help you but you can try it.

IDK if you fixed it but I turned off fullscreen and made window size 1440x810 and that seemed to have fixed it

Yeah I had the same issue, and doing this worked

I tried only limiting FPS to 60 and that didnt work.
