TressFX on Nvidia card

I got this for free on epic and run it on an RTX 2060 and almost max settings the only thing that keeps it from max settings is TressFX hair. For some reason whenever I enable it my game drops to literally like 10 SPF I haven't been able to find a fix so it would greatly appreciated if someone could help me with this problem.

Edit: it just seemed to fix itself

I've a GTX1070 that can run with it on without issues; steady 60FPS throughout the game.
That RTX2060 should be able to do better than 10FPS, being equal in performance.

Are your drivers up to date?

Don't worry too much about it, looks somewhat silly anyway; Lara just stepping out of a pool of blood, hair still dry and silky smooth. IMO you will not miss out on much or maybe even notice it while playing.

when I said SPF I meant literally seconds per frame lmao and yeah my drivers are up to date so I don't know why this happens.

i can't get it to ungrey itself in the settings... i'm on a 3070 nvidia geforce experience says tressFX are on but they aren't. idk what the deal is. anyone else?
