Tomb Raider 2013 and 2018 movie, same story?

Nerver played the game, never watched the movie.
If I watch the movie, is it a spoiler of the game?
Does they share a similar or the same story and plot twists?

Plot, premise, message, cast and personality are completely different.

If you play the game then watch the movie (or vice versa) you'll maybe recognize a couple of scenes , but other than that... no, they don't spoil each other in any way.

Look it for yourself, it's awful, some cringe moments and the reduced action for the drama make it a such bad adaptation and bad movie aswell.

The only good about that last movie, are the references from the game.

And if you enjoy it... well, I'm glad for you.

The movie was decent, the last part/section of the game. What an utter mess of the game! "Rambo style action with no option to "stealth" pass by. And trully terrible AI. They know exactly where you are and shoot directly at you even when behind walls where there is no line of sight"!
Bleh and urgh. Why exactly do I need to brute force in "Rambo style" as a "teenager Lara Croft?
