Zoom Fix (Super Ultrawide and likely others)
If you're playing Tomb Raider on an ultrawide monitor you've probably noticed the insane amount of zoom during gameplay and cut scenes. It's almost nauseating. Additionally, some UI elements get pushed off screen, like quick time indicators.

After several searches I was unable to locate a fix for this issue, but noticed a lot of people complaining about the problem. Given how old this game is, I'm sure someone has published these steps elsewhere. However, I haven't been able to find them. Maybe its obvious to everyone else. Anyway, details below.

Fix:
In TR settings
1. Full screen = Off (this the native borderless setting. It doesn't work)
2. Exclusive Full screen = Off
3. Resolution = Maximised
4. Aspect Ratio = Auto
------> At this point the issue is technically fixed, but now you'll see window borders which is no good.

4. Quit game
5. Download and install Borderless Gaming
-----> https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming/releases
6. Run Borderless Gaming
7. Reload TR
8. Tab to Borderless Gaming and add TR to Favourites
9. Done! Zoom is gone and the game looks amazing.

Okay, calling this a "fix" might be excessive. As you can see, it's just a matter of running the game in windowed mode and hiding the borders. Hope this helps people who are having this same issue I did.

Tested on Samsung CRG9 (32:9 - 5120x1440)

Thanks! This is the only valid fix I found that is displaying the HUD info correclty for me.

I have a 3840x1600 Alienware display and the game is cropping the side of the screen which result on some HUD info missing (like the ammo when you aim on top right corner).

I found other ultrawide posts suggesting to roll back the version to beta 743 or change the AspectRation key in the registry which didn't work for me.
Thank you so much for posting this. I'm also playing on a 3840x1600 Alienware monitor and after playing the opening I was starting to get a headache and feel a bit nauseous. I think it was the tight camera angle combined with the shaky camera, it was giving me motion sickness.

I just implemented the fix you outlined and can't believe how great the game looks considering it's nearly 10 years old and was aiming at realistic graphics. Usually, it's the stylised or cell-shaded games that age well, but this still looks great!

I did this on my Samsung OLED 49" (5120 x 1440) and it still looks a little stretched vertically. Is that normal? anyone got screenshots for that resolution working?
