Does starting a new game make your collection progress disappear?

I wanna start a new game (too many items missing, to simply go for collecting only, but wanna make a new playthrough anyway.)

WIll it reset all of that, if I start a new game?

Yes, it will restart it all.
You can visit all the areas where there are collectibles after you finish the story thou, without starting a new game.

You can still get all items after completion you dont need a restart

Yes, but isn't that were I am now? I've completed the campaign & got fast travel to most locations, just haven't collected all items. So, I can go to all places & collect items, but the campaign is finished.

why do you want to restart? the campiagn affects nothing when it comes to finishing collecting the collectibles

Because I wanna play a "fresh" campaign:) Start over. But collecting everything, just running around with no action, no story, is pretty damn boring.

this game doesnt have ng+ so i think you will have to recollect everything

Too bad. Guess my achievements progress will start at 0% ingame as well.
oh well.. Fresh campaign is more important than achievements:)
