Shotgun Alt. fire mode?

I bought hte alternative fireing mode for the shotgun but idk how to activate it. How do I access the alt. fireing mode?

Press spacebar or middle mouse button while aiming with the shotgun.

If you are talking about the fire shooting one then you want to press the button to grab your shotgun 2 times
