The same goes for the Zip lining enemies - Getting back to the checkpoints resets it.
Take in mind, that I am giving you informations based on my own experiences.
As for me, restarting checkpoints, (...) didn't work.
Shantytown, when you meet Grim is the best place, but there are more good places too.
For ex., when you get to Solarii Fortress after rescuing your friends in the Geothermal caves.
I've played the story numerous times already - Five or six times, I'd guess.
For the zipline archievement, i already own it. I own all singleplayer archievements except chatterbox and former adventurer since i am doing them wrong the last run. (chatterbox i didnt get it because i didnt go back to Roth shortly after receiving rope arrows).
But as far you know my explaining is correct? So i will get the archievement now?
Edit: i noticed you dont own "chatterbox" archievement. It is the only singleplayer archievement which you are missing (its a secret archievement, thats why you didnt know about it probally).
I've also got every Document, Relic, ... Everything.
Dirty Tricks is a very good Perk to have.
Just Scramble and throw dirt - They'll be available to be killed via finisher, if I remember it correctly.
Pain Tolerance is one of the best Perks to have, but it's not really needed - Dodge Counter could be a better choice.
The first time I've played it, I focused on the story, then I've decided to focus on the achievements.
Thank you for letting me know about that achievement.
I didn't take a look, I guess.
Play on low difficulty, and try to do as many Stealth Kills as possible.
During the combat, don't forget to aim for heads only to gain more XPs.
I recommend you to get the XP boosters ASAP - The Bow Mastery, Avid Learner, (...).
Don't forget Dodge Counter though. Go for that at the right time.
Getting every Relic in that location should reward you with 500 XP - If I'm not mistaken, the same goes for the Documents.
Some of the GPS caches require Shotgun to destroy the wooden walls with metal spiked wires.
The Challenges are definitely worth it.
Use IGN Guide walkthroughs, as they're having it very well described.
I get it when game is just for 40% completed and am right now in Shanty town. I received the dodge counter and started use in the hall with the big bell. The ones who shooting at me with machinegun i killed with bow or machinegun. The other people run to me and want melee me i stick a arrow in their knee and then shot with shotgun. The last few people is just in Shanty town, also same story: kill all shooting people and let other come to me so i can dodge them.
Now just finish the game for chatterbox and i have all solo archievements.
I am busy with Rise Of The Tomb Raider, so, if I haven't already mentioned, I haven't played Tomb Raider in a few months.
Plus, Rocket League's Season Pass ends soon, so, I am gonna stick to that one too for the two remaining rewards.
About that Chatterbox, I have been looking at it, but, I must've missed someone before.
I've talked to Roth before and after bringing him the Medical supplies from the Wolves's den.
This I have missed and I guess most people and you too since there isn't really a reason to go back to Roth .
I must've missed something basic, and hella obvious then.
Here are 7 conversations:
1 Before accumulating 50 pieces of salvage, talk to Whitman.
2 After collecting 50 pieces of salvage but before you Strengthen the Pry Axe, talk to Whitman again. In Definitive edition, you can't talk to Whitman until AFTER you upgrade the Pry Axe. Talk to him before you open the gate though.
3 After helping Roth (when the wolves attack him), talk to Roth After heading after his pack.
4 Shortly after getting the Rope Arrows you will meet Roth again at the Village Overlook camp. Talk to him before going down the zip-line.
5 When reaching Shipwreck Beach you will meet your friends. Talk to Sam, Reyes and Jonah.
6 Before going to the Endurance (and Cliffside Bunker) to get Reyes' tools, talk to Whitman, Sam, Jonah and Reyes at the beach camp. Reyes will be on the PT boat if you cannot find her.
7 After coming back from the Endurance but before proceeding to the Research Base, talk to Whitman, Reyes and Jonah one last time.
I see i have missed number 2. That sucks.
Edit: i notice in replys many people didnt do the second conversation and get the archievement. So i still have hope.
I'll definitely replay it someday to get this achievement!
But, as I've mentioned, I am kinda busy with my feelings. I still have to watch Balto 2, 3, 4, to play ROTTR, and RL a bit.
By the way: i dont want to push you to get this archievement, i only was looking with you how to get it.
Rise is my next game i go playing. Shadow is almost completed but the time and score attack archievement is a bit heavy and frustrating.
As for the ROTTR, I'll skip the achievements.
I tend to always use permanent cards, to enjoy the game mode, (...).
The Endurance, Cold Darkness are simply way too cool.
I don't want to sound strict, but if we'll talk about ROTTR, we should do it in the ROTTR subforums, as both games are different.
