Does knocking people out stop silent assassin?

Hi, I checked this up online and it said knocking people out is fine.. but I subdued a few people in a mission and hid their bodies but I didn't get the silent assassin rating...

Seems a bit ridiculous, in old hitman games it was fine to knock people out you just didn't want to kill them, now it seems despite some things saying its ok you can't even subdue people.

this was on terminus where there was no mark to kill, is that why its impossible or is it because of subdueing some people?

I think you can only sedate people.

Doing further research found out the problem apparently is that if there is no target to kill you can't get it... and so far out of 3 missions 2 have had no target.... I'm hoping it gets better later. I already don't really like how 47 abandons his mission then gets beaten up.

This is true. Also, you *can* choke people out and get the silent assassin bonus, but you may have to hide the body for it, not sure offhand.

normally hide it anyway as it cancels out the pacification negative score you get.

Sadly it is VERY hard to ever get silent assassin as there is so few people to kill in this game... up to the nun school invasion and theres been hardly any killing.

Why did they call it hitman if all you do is crawl around hiding? If I wanted to do that I'd play splinter cell or something. And I'm getting so fed up with people acting as if the most suspicious thing in the world is a person where they are meant to be... if you are a policeman in a area being searched by the police they almost instantly seem to work out its you.. do these people know every single sodding person who works for the police? same seems to be so for criminals and shop clerks.. EVERYBODY

Hell on the strip club mission it turned out to be easier to tresspass as a policeman cos if you dress up as staff you instantly get caught when you leave.

So killing the scum bag with a disco ball in striper club is the ONLY time so far I have gotten silent assassin. And yes I choked out a scum bag bouncer for his ID card and hid is scum bag butt in a locker.

Is this OLD hitman? HMMM not really. But it is GOOD. With each major target having MANY ways to off its rewarding enough. I do not like not being able to select a load out and gear like previous versions.

I mean it IS set up as a bit of a FAIl if you off everybad guy on a mssion. Your an assassin not a one man army. Although you can do that too easy enough I guess. But what fun is that?

I'd be happy if there was more assassinations.. theres been 2 so far by level 7 is you count the tutorial, if you don't then then 1, I don't count killing 3 goons as thats not a hit thats just killing goons secretly (like splinter cell) and I don't count killing wade as its about as far from a hit as you can possibly get.

I just don't get why its called hitman so far, it should just be called Hidingman, or stealthman, perhaps splinter cell

No there are MORE than that up to the stripper level. THe king of china town... the hotel one. the pathetic male (stripper) club. If you mean Lee Havey Oswald shoot guys in the face stuff...not so much. So far JUSt the king of china town for that stuff so far for me. Although I had more fun playing the level again and poisioning him in every way possible. Pushing him down the open man hole was fun too. LOL.

not really, the king is the only real hit the hotel isn't a hit theres nobody to kill its a pure stealth sneak in followed by pure stealth sneak away, then theres the guy in the club and thats about it, and he takes like 5 seconds to kill.

There are actually ways to acquire a silent assassin, but not on every level. The Vixen Club, there is a window at the beginning you can climb through at the entrance and get a keycard without killing anyone. It allows you to walk right into the room with the disco ball when the guard inside is not looking, drop the disco ball on Dom and walk back out, like nothing happened. You can actually do that level without killing anyone but Dom. Not all levels allow you to sneak through without a disguise, but using distractions are the key to timing your movements, so no one sees you.

Only kill targets and hide their bodies without raising too much suspicion. If you knock out anyone else, do so silently through pacification and hide their bodies without getting spotted. If someone gets suspicious and tries to run to the guards, you're going to have to knock them out and hide their bodies.
