How To: Registering on the ICA Website
EDIT: It appears that the site has been taken down in preparation for the new Hitman game. It's been a pleasure helping you guys and girls out for almost 3 years.

This has been an issue with Sleeping Dogs and now Hitman Absolution, but these are the steps you have to take in order to access the ICA (stat tracking) Hitman site. Seems long but it only takes about 10-15mins tops, as long as you get the confirmation emails quickly.

1. Register your game on Steam (if you bought a digital copy elsewhere or were given a code) and start the game (Some people have reported errors by registering on the site before actually playing and it may delay your stats being updated)

2. Go to http://ica.hitman.com and register there. Even if you already have a Square Enix account, you will probably have to register once more on this site. I put in the same information on both accounts so everything matched up and had no problems.

3. Top right corner of the screen will have you name, your avatar and then a downward arrow, click that arrow and click 'User Settings' NOT 'Profile' nor 'Add New Game'.

4. From there, click 'Linked Accounts' on the left hand side.

5. Link any of your accounts that you wish, but for the non-retail, Steam version of Hitman Absolution, you have to link your Steam account.

6. Log in to Steam when prompted.

7. Click yes that you wish to link the account

8. Start the game and play for about 5 minutes, usually this gives the servers plenty of time to upload your stats.

9. Go to http://ica.hitman.com and click on the 'Agent Log In' button

10. If your stats aren't showing up, play for a few hours or try to go to the Contracts mode and see if the servers are working. The first time I tried this, their entire ICA web page was down.

You may notice that the ICA website sends you to the EU version of the Square Enix site even though you may not be in Europe, which is why you have to have 2 or 3 accounts just to access any of this. If they ever fix it, you may have to relink your account and start the process over, but as of right now, it works.

Some people may be wondering why there is an 'Add New Game' link and why this isn't the way to register... For retail copies, this is a quicker way to register, which doesn't require all the nonsense you just went through, but more to the point, it integrates directly with SE's reward program. All retail games of their making, come with a slip that includes a register code, by registering them you can access their rewards program which includes DLC, free games and other goodies, it's kind of like the Nintendo Club program. All digital games are non-eligible though, which is where most of the confusion sets-in when contacting SE support or when asking Valve to give us the key for the game. You don't need a key to access the ICA stat-tracking site, it's all done via account linking.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here or feel free to send me a message on Steam. It's an incredibly convoluted and confusing mess that has confused tons of people wanting to register their game, right after installing.

where I can see the Hitman Key if bought it on steam? bc it doesnt have the Key box like other games on steam.
Schiegirl Mar 29, 2013 @ 9:51pm
You do not need the key, please read the original post. The site does not use a Steam key, it links your steam account to track your play stats.

Knux Plays, thanks a lot for your explanation, how crazy people can be to ask you about why steam doesn't attach the game code (BTW they do it with GTA). Anyway, to help you answer those, let me citate Louis CK: "Because some things ARE, and some things ARE NOT" :) Have fun everybody!

I bought the game on Flipkart and registered it with Steam. However,I need a different code for the Square Enix site ?Not the Steam registration code ?

Dhai: You don't need a code for the Steam version to register to ICA, you have to link your Steam account to the Square Enix site. Read the original post.

Gallert: It will be on the Account Settings on the ICA website. Alternatively, they've now made it possible to log in with just your Steam account at: https://membership.square-enix.com/users/sign_in atleast for the NA site, no idea if EU or other territories are handled likewise.
